MANILA, Philippines – Premier property developer, Ortigas & Co., recently completed the structural works of Viridian, its 53-storey luxury residential tower located at the heart of Metro Manila’s most loved lifestyle destination, Greenhills Shopping Center.
The tower has enjoyed robust sales since its launch in 2012. To date, the contemporary-classical structure, which stands at the corner of Connecticut and Missouri Streets is already poised for completion. Prior to the top-off ceremony, Ortigas & Co. opened the tower’s 5th level, having a total of 15 units in actual turnover condition, with one dressed-up unit.
“The first residential floor of the tower was opened with the intent of showing how we deliver our projects—from the actual hallway width, ceiling height, and finishes. It is the best possible way to get a feel of what Viridian has to offer,” said Joey Santos, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Real Estate Division, Ortigas & Co.
Each unit of Viridian will have an open combined living, dining, and entertaining area, with high ceiling, built-in bedroom closets, cabinetry, and expansive views of the mountains, the Ortigas skyline, and the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club. A unit’s floor area can range from about 38 to 207 square meters with prices at P6-million to P30-million inclusive of parking.
He adds, “Three years ago, we made a promise to those who wanted to make the ‘Belly of the Dragon’ their permanent home—to turnover the units by the fourth quarter of 2016. We are on track, due to the workmanship of our construction partner, D.M. Consunji Inc.,”
Work on Viridian’s architectural fit-out is currently ongoing with the help of Multi-Development and Construction Corporation (MDCC)—a firm with 40 years of experience in engineering supervision, project management, construction, and interior finishing. MDCC will be executing the design provided by RTKL, a Los Angeles-based architecture-consulting firm that was commissioned by Ortigas in the early stages of planning for Viridian.
The tower is part of Ortigas’ 20-year redevelopment plan that would transform the Greenhills area into a complete live-, work-, and play destination. In a span of two years, Ortigas already opened the new Gloria Maris and Wafu buildings, extended the Promenade with enhanced Dolby cinemas, and added parking spaces.
